KPATOΣ Hall Remodel
Thanks to the generous donations from Theta Alpha Alumni, your House Corporation continues to invest in upgrades and improvements to both the House and KPATOΣ Hall. Having completed the kitchen and living room remodeling, we have now turned our efforts to completing Phase II of KPATOΣ Hall remodel to include custom, built-in trophy cases and matching wainscoting throughout. The project was completed just in time for the Homecoming Dinner Reception on Friday, October 26.
In keeping with our preference to use brother’s talents whenever possible, we chose Brother David Ziegler’s father to design, build and install the custom woodwork. While David’s father is not a Sigma Nu, his son David, Theta Alpha 770, is one of our actives. I’m sure you’ll be impressed with the craftsmanship and attention to detail. It is first class! Please be sure to come by the House when you’re in the area.
Phase III of the remodel is to redo the sterile, warehouse-style lighting in KPATOΣ Hall to enhance the ascetics and create the proper atmosphere for formal chapter meetings and initiation ceremonies according to The Ritual. We also plan to texture the current cinderblock walls with a stucco plaster to add a touch of class to the overall décor.

The “50-50-50 Campaign” continues throughout 2013 -- the 50th anniversary year of KPATOΣ founding. The “50-50-50” represents our goal to raise $50,000 by our 50th Anniversary with individual contributions of $50 for each year since your initiation. If you have not made your contribution there’s still time. If you want a tax break for this year (when you itemize deductions on your income tax return), you must make your gift by Dec. 31.
As you think of helping others at this time of year, remember that when you support the Sigma Nu Theta Alpha Chapter through the USF Foundation, you also win.
Contributions for either the Sigma Nu Special Purpose Housing Fund # 590039 or Sigma Nu Theta Alpha Alumni Scholarship Fund # 65001 may be made via credit card at: USF Foundation Sigma Nu Donations or contact Mike Castellari, Frank Hult or Jim Crotty. All gifts are tax deductible as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and will be acknowledged by letter of receipt from the USF Foundation.
While it's always wise to think of ways to preserve your wealth, you can look at the end of the year as an opportune time to be tax-savvy with your finances. To learn more about some specific moves you can make now to help you avoid an unnecessary tax bite in 2012 and to help support Sigma Nu Theta Alpha Chapter, feel free to contact the USF Foundation.
